Artistry On The Move

is the part of Encouragement Is Key in which James does poetry readings at various venues in and around the Baltimore City area.

James started Artistry On The Move back in April of 2014 when he ventured out to several Open Mic Nights offered by local businesses.

He not only got bitten by the performance bug, but he fell in love with the artistry all over again.  From those first few outings, James landed the opportunity of a life time: to perform as the Featured Artist.

Thanks to boutique and business owner, Callie Holliday, formerly of Opulence Spatique,

James performed his very first one man show entitled, WHEN MEN SPEAK in June of 2014.  This was James' first public showing as a poet/author.  A table of all of James printed publications were available.  And, James read many of his original poems as he took his audience through a man's perspective of love, life, loss, and laughter.

Thankfully, the event was a huge success on many levels and it prompted James
to look for new ways to expand his encouragement-based network.

James is now the co-host of a poetry/spoken word event that takes place every Monday evening from 8 pm to Midnight (EST) at Umosha Restauratore-a restaurant owned by Chef Ivan Williams, brother of famed High School, College and NBA Star Reggie Williams.

Together with the Founder of the In-touch Mentoring Program, Abdur Al-Mutawakkil, James makes weekly deposits of support for the dreams of new and established literary artists.

Here is a list of the upcoming events:
